SYR: Presentation Of Their New Album “Sentinel” That Recently Released

"Hic jacet sepultus inclitus rex Arthurus in insula Avalonia". (Inscription on a trunk in Glastonbury).

In the Island of Apples you will find what you crave, the clear sounds of running water and the Lady of the lake immigrant, will follow you on your every mythical journey.(E.R.)
After their second album “The Winter King” released in 2020, returned with their new work entitled “Sentinel”.

What has Colombia got to do with myths, legends and Celtic culture?

Syr is a Celtic Folk Rock band from Colombia, formed in 2015. Inspired by Celtic mythology and history,

guided by folklore, romance and battles, they create their own magical world,

with a more modern touch, using mainly modern musical instruments (bass etc).

The band consists of

brothers Kyle (lead vocals, guitar) and Laurel MacCallum (vocals & percussion),

Kelly Vance (bass),

Greg Vance (drums),

Ben Campbell (guitar) and Worth Lewallen (violin).

Their participation is active in various festivals of Celtic and Irish interest, such as the Irish Fest Camden and the Celtic Music Festival in which they are going to participate in March 2022.

Their new album was released a few days ago and is coming to take us on a trip to the island of Avalon, with orchestral and non-orchestral tracks. The single, Tir n'Aill, released in August 2021, will enchant you with its beautiful landscapes, reminding us of the power and serenity of nature. Its introduction and its main melody could be said to have some elements of artful Greek music.

The feature of this album is the different style of the tracks.

“Isolation” seems to have emerged from the fog of the mountains, “Sentinel” from the Scottish Plains and “Painted Skies” from the preparation for the battle of the skies.
