An Evening Of Heavy Riffing & Rock 'N' Roll With Black Stone Machine - Lazy man's Load - Bad Habits @The Crow Live Stage (6/11/2021 , Αθήνα)
Black Stone Machine is a Greek band formed in April of 2019 from Alex (Guitar/Vocals), Nick (Drums), George (Guitars/Backing Vocals) and Mike (Bass). Their first EP titled “Black Stone Machine” was recorded in less than a month at Feedback Studios containing two songs: “Bounty Hunter” & “Black Stone Machine” and it was released on June 16. The artwork was made from Bewildbrother (1000 Mods, Planet Of Zeus, etc). Black Stone Machine is a perfect blend between the sounds of Heavy Rock – Metal and the melody of Blues Country Rock. Their first live performance took place in Berlin followed by a mini Tour in Greece. In November of the same year, recordings for the first album begun and after five long months the band’s first album titled “Crossroads” was completed. The twelve new songs with guests from great Greek bands like: Nightstalker, Dentrites and Rusty Bonez were ready. The First Single -which was titled- “House Of Lies” was released on 29th of June with two songs “House Of Lies” & “Rising Tide”. The band’s album was released from “Ikaros Records” on September 25th. Meanwhile the song “House Of Lies” is in the “ Unity vol 1 - In Solidarity With The Refugees of Moria Camp” collection with bands like: 1000Mods, Villagers Of Ioannina City etc. In April of 2021, Black Stone Machine recorded a cover on Black Sabbath‘s “The Wizard” for a Tribute Album By Antichrist Magazine along with 45 bands from all over the world. In June of the same year “ One With The Horde” EP was recorded along with Babis Papanikolaou (Planet Of Zeus) and Vaggelis Karzis (Full House B.C. , Wolfheart, Ex-Rotting Christ) taking over vocal duties as guests. The EP will be released on 10th Of September 2021.
Οι Lazy Man’s Load (aka LML) ιδρύθηκαν αρχές του 2017. Χωρίς να χάσουν χρόνο και μόλις λίγους μήνες μετά κυκλοφορούν το πρώτο τους single video clip “Start Breathing” τέλη του καλοκαιριού. Ο επόμενος χρόνος τους βρίσκει με την κυκλοφορία ενός ακόμα single-video clip με τίτλο “Persian Mistress” το οποίο κυκλοφόρησε τον Ιανουάριο του 2018. Η πρώτη συναυλιακή παρουσία των LML ήταν με την μορφή ενός mini tour στο πλευρό των Βρετανών Skandal (Ιωάννινα-Άρτα-Πάτρα) και ολοκληρώθηκε με ένα headline live show τους στην Αθήνα με μπάντες της underground σκηνής. Από τότε ακολουθεί μια σειρά από μεγάλα live shows όπως στο Let It Beer 3 και 4, ανοίγοντας για τους Tuber, Naxatras, Rusty Bonez και Μωρά Στην Φωτιά, αντίστοιχα στο An Club με τους Beggars και πιο πρόσφατα στο Temple με τους Crashes. Μετά από μια σειρά από studio sessions κατά την διάρκεια των lock-downs λόγω πανδημίας ολοκληρώνουν την ηχογράφηση του πρώτου τους δίσκου, με τίτλο All Hat No Cattle, μέσα στο 2020 και τον Ιούλιο του 2021 τον κυκλοφορούν μέσω της Sleazy Rider Records .
Bad Habits is a collective of Jo (vocals), Ellie (vocals/bass), Severin (lead guitar), Spiros (guitar), and Apostol (drums) based in Athens, Greece. The band’s eclectic style pulls diverse elements of classic and punk rock for a unique, modern sound with a kick of 70s nostalgia.
The culmination of a decade’s worth of collaboration and experimentation, including ventures into acoustic pop, hardcore punk, and beyond, Bad Habits was established in early 2019. Capturing the essence of diverse rock influences, from the hyper-energetic The Stooges to the trashy-glam of the New York Dolls and the songwriting mastermind of The Replacements, the group took to the studio to show off their full potential (and distinctive style).
Fresh off the heels of their debut single, “California,” Bad Habits gained serious traction in the alternative music scene. Their second single, “Let it Roll”, helped Bad Habits reach new peaks as it was selected for two editorial Spotify playlists, and was complemented by the band’s first Official Video. The band continued dropping fresh music regularly, with “Love Me/Hate Me” and “Not My Call” being their latest output.
Rooted in uncompromising authenticity, Bad Habits serve as a beacon for relatable self-expression and the obliteration of senseless stereotyping with their sharp Rock & Roll edge.
With 10+ more songs slated for release, the band is looking forward to a continued upward trajectory through 2021. Be on the lookout for their next drop, “Nothing To Lose”, in mid-October.
