The Rumjacks - Hestia (Album Review In English)

"Sometimes The Hardest Power To Master Is The Power Of Yielding"

~ Rick Riordan ~

Hestia, is the goddess of Home life and family! Together in all this we must love our every moment united with a beer in hand and celebrate St. Patrick as befits Celtic Punk! This is something that the loved ones in the Greek public explain to us, The Rumjacks with their new Album, called "Hestia" and it is their 5th consecutive album and with that they are ready to put us in a world where it goes beyond reality and the Blackness of the Pandemic, as a result of which it makes you grab a Guinness beer and start the party.

What can one say about the giant Celtic Punk scene named, Rumjacks. The beloved band to the Greek public and vice versa created an album quite dedicated to Ancient Greece but also to the whole Epidaurus of Traditions and its history, hence the title "Hestia". A very simple cover, without much that makes you feel that you have more to do with a symbol than with a cover, nice things and colors that match each other!

Their old sieve art is to arouse their audience worldwide, the Ocean Punkers who with their Banjo and fast Punk rhythms push people to grab beers and sip with each other drinking without a tomorrow, especially now with the Summer climate, you must do something like this!

"Golden Death" & "Naysayers" put you in a frantic rhythm from the beginning, the famous and much loved by many people "Light In My Shadow" through the sound of Gaida to give rhythm to the song, along with the polyphony in the chorus and the Excellent bass rhythm is the perfect recipe for a famous Masterpiece giving hope for a better future for humanity!

"Wonderust" & "Athens To The North" give a special rhythm while keeping the classic Punk Motif at a very nice level with "Motion" giving a relaxed style with the acoustic guitar dominating the style, giving a more Rock N Roll character.

Along the way follows "Goodnight Make Mends" which gives greater rhythm and tendency to dance in all its glory as it happens and in "Bullhead" the absolute apotheosis prevails with the adrenaline catching red during the audition while the title track there seems to be a slight break from the speeds that seems to become more intense again in the course of "Hestia" in a different, more traditional way.

The imposing "Through These From Sights" is a relaxed introduction, while as time passes the imposing percussions give more intense rhythms and then turn into something more dynamic that makes you think of concert moments and miss the infinite Mosh Pit that took place in concerts. before restricting traffic to concerts! We will relive the Live and we will all feel one, while "Sainted Millions" prevails one for all and all for one holding hands to sing like the pirates with the famous "Yo - Ho" and continues with a lot of party and spree having the arrogance of the flag of St. Paul high and in high spirits!

The tones of the sound fall three pieces before the end in "Tell Me What Happened" and in "Rhythm Of Her Name" which give the feeling of nature and travel, while titles end with the very very intense "Lizzie Borden", with which there is literally a festival with drums, banjo, guitars and interpretation to go together and give the ultimate feast wearing Trayaskes and dancing in frantic rhythms !!! The perfect finale for an album of this kind!

An album quite Classic Irish Punk, a very interesting effort that wakes you up once again, we did not expect anything less from the Australian Punkies! Another Album by The Rumjacks that makes you want to get up, get beaten up, dance with each one individually and do endless Stage Dive that mostly create such atmospheres at Festivals either in Greece or in Europe in general or the world!

If you like to have fun, party at home, dance with people and enjoy life with good company, the solution is once again the "Hestia" of The Rumjacks, with which they prove that it is not accidental at all the love of the people for these Australians, who fill concert halls and make a splash on stage!
